The Kokotos Estate dates back to the 1970s, when George Kokotos and his family decided to settle in Stamata and create a small vineyard in the hills north of Athens. The vineyard stretches over seven hectares, planting international varieties; Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay, in order to produce wine of the highest quality.
The vineyards are certified organic and are cultivated with the utmost respect for the environment and the consumer.
The Estate also buys in Savatiano, Roditis & Gewürztraminer grapes from growers within the wider area. At Kokotos Estate also take place guided tours, tastings, seminars & gastronomic meetings, school and club visits, children’s activities, musical & theatrical nights, charity bazaars, etc.
As a wine paradise in Attica, Kokotos Estate, a unique ecosystem, names its labels drawing inspiration from the beautiful nature that generously surrounds it. The labels, which have been crafted by the famous artist Ioli Xifara, are the following: Partridge in the Vines, Thieving Magpie, Tris Tris Parades, Agrimi & Three hills.
